Newer shots taken after this bike ticked off its 30,000th mile of service. In a stable of many bikes, let alone many road bikes, this is still my alpha bike, and easily my choice for the brevet/ultra events.

TIG'd steel, built in 2002 with a Columbus Foco Oval main triangle, Columbus Foco pen tapered chainstays, Reynolds 853 seatstays, Salsa rear dropouts.

Component highlights (which have remained more or less the same since the initial build): Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork, King headset, Ritchey WCS stem, TTT Prima 199 bar, Ultegra triple 9sp gruppo w/ Dura-Ace levers, Thomson Elite seatpost, Selle Italia Flite Trans-Am saddle, CXP-33 hoops around a Dura-Ace rear hub and a Schmidt SON28 dyno front hub with DT Competition (rear) and Wheelsmith DB14 (front) spokes laced 3x all around.
