A gloriously pink bubble wrap one-of-a-kind too cool for Bergdorf. I forget the designer's name. You know me, fashion dunce and repeat-violator. Atop the morning climbs, affectionately known as the Evil Twins, we crossed the halfway point of the ride. After a magnificently long and smooth descent to the coast, stopped a while in the small town of Cayucos. Enjoyed free buzz at a charming cafe with many other cyclists, thanks to some fella who picked up the tab earlier in the day. Missed you especially today, big brother, knowing how much you love the West Coast sunset. 103 miles today (3rd century in 4 days). Journey is as wonderful as the first time. 3 more days to LA.
